The Romans built Britain's first towns. They used brick and marble to compose many of their buildings.

Romans used a heavy crossbow-like weapon known as a ballista to shoot arrows and darts as well as stones at enemy soldiers.

Task: Explore Jane Goodall's work with the now-endangered chimpanzees in Africa.

Different plants grow in different habitats. 

Task: Find out how and why the habitats are different and the factors that influence the plants that are able to grow there. Look at the features that help plants grow in a particular habitat and find out how certain adaptations contribute to making a plant suitable for the habitat.

FORCES - Week Beginning 20th April

Build your own pinball machine and use it to explore Newton’s Laws of Motion.

The simple pinball machine in this activity is made from a cardboard box, with ice lolly sticks as the flippers. It provides a great opportunity to explore the science of forces and motion. Game on!
