Welcome to Chestnut Class.

Children in Chestnut Class are in Year 1 and Year 2. 

The class teacher is Mrs Bee. Mrs Middleton and Mrs Fox are the teaching assistants.

Our Explore enquiry question for Summer 2026 is

"How can we help each other to grow and flourish?"

We have a focus on creating this term, particularly through art and design, design technology, music and dance. We will be learning about the artist Romare Beardon. Our key texts are Jack and the Baked Beanstalk by Colin Stimpson followed by Rosie Revere, Engineer and Aaron Slater, Illustrator by Andrea Beaty. We are planning several theme days and surprises! The school treasures we are focusing on are Honesty and Peace.  The UN Development Goal this term is 3: Good Health and Wellbeing.

Our regular P.E. days this term are Wednesdays and Thursdays, and children should come to school wearing their PE kit on those days.
